Salukis Take Down Missouri State to Complete Two-Game Series Sweep – Southern Illinois University Athletics

Carbondale, Ill. – The Southern Illinois Salukis completed its two-game collection sweep over the Missouri State Bears on Wednesday afternoon to enhance to 10-0 at house. For the second straight recreation, the Salukis got here again from down 2-0 as they won by a final score of 7-5. 

Madi Eberle earned the win for the Salukis as she improved to 8-1 on the season. Eberle entered the sport within the first inning with two outs and the bases loaded and was capable of get out of the jam with a big strikeout. In just over six innings, Eberle allowed three earned runs on just four hits as she retired nine straight batters from the top of the primary inning until the fourth.

The freshman catcher went 2-for-3 with a season-high three RBIs.

Missouri State scored three runs on three hits and an error within the sixth inning to make it just a two-run recreation. Eberle was capable of get out of the jam with a strikeout as the bases were nonetheless loaded to finish the top half of the inning.
