CORPUS CHRISTI, Texas – Junior Ben Rounds tallied three RBIs and a home run, and junior right-handed pitcher Jay Driver allowed only one run over 6.0 innings in the begin, however Harvard University baseball dropped a narrow 5-4 choice to Texas A&M-Corpus Christi on Friday evening at Chapman Field.
 
In game two of the four-game sequence, the Crimson (1-13) gained leads of 2-0 and 3-1 and later tied the score at 4-4 within the prime of the ninth before the host Islanders (10-9) walked off with the win on a run in the bottom of the ninth.

How It Happened

  • After Messervy labored a lead-off walk in the high of the first, Rounds launched a two-run home run to left middle area to provide the Crimson an early 2-0 lead.
  • Texas A&M-CC reduce the margin to 2-1 with a sacrifice fly within the bottom of the primary.
  • In the top of the fifth, Messervy drove a double to left middle with one out to place himself in scoring place. He later scored from second on an error.
  • The Islanders took their first lead of the game within the bottom of the eighth, scoring three runs to maneuver forward, 4-3.
  • The Crimson knotted the rating at 4-4 in the high of the ninth as first-year Gio Colasante got here residence on an RBI single to left area from Rounds.
